As Santa and his elves furiously work around the clock to have all the presents ready for delivery on Christmas Eve, you too, may be feeling like you are running through the days and burning the midnight oil!
This past Sunday, "60 Minutes" ran a piece on Mindfulness. The focus of it was an interview with John Kabat Zinn, a 40+ year teacher trained in Buddhist principles who adapted these principles to develop Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction using what is called "moment to moment awareness. " Freeing the mind from thoughts running to the future and back to the past, as well as our relentless attachment to technology; phones, IPADs and computers ever calling us to check and respond.
Taking time to "be" and focus only on breath, peace and stillness has been scientifically proven to lower stress, improve mental clarity, reduce pain, improve immune function and boost our mental and emotional bodies.
As you move through this fast paced time of year, honor yourself with daily healthy practices to be well, buoyant and present. Take time to meditate, go for a walk in nature, listen to music that elevates your spirit, integrate healthy foods and nutritional beverages, swim, ride your bike, sing, take a hot, soaking bath, smile, enjoy the yummy smells, sights and sounds of this very special, celebratory season. Share time with people you love.
We send you and yours many blessings for joy, good health and prosperity through this holiday season and on into 2015!

"Every time you step into the round pen with a horse, remind yourself that today you may stand on the threshold of a great new personal discovery. Each horse, in his own way, is ready to coach you. And when your resolution to change - to work on the person you want to become - becomes heartfelt and sincere, then the horse will reveal his next great secret, his next great gift to you,"
